We had to create not only a new artist but a new character in which we could promote.
We chose this girl as she was part of our group so we knew that she would be avaliable when we wanted to film.
The song is also very mellow and delecate so we wanted someone that had natural beauty so we used very little makeup to create a natural feel.
The artist we picked need to stand out. So we used this person as they had a unique style which would get her noticed in the real world. The style we used wasn't to in your face and came across quite vintage and realted to what the demographic would wear.
A lot of the look of Darcy Jones was based on Ellie Goulding as she had the same kind of feel and look we were going for.

We used her to represent a strong independant female artist who had the stereotypes of an indie artist.
